The Flood

Genesis chapter 6 says “Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God. Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth”
His journey of faith was to build the ark. When he built the ark it wasn’t raining. So people started to make fun of him. But that didn’t stop Noah. He just did what God commanded him to do. It wasn’t easy for Noah to build. He built the ark out of Cypress wood. He put 2 pairs of every unclean animal on the ark. He put 7 pairs of every clean animal on the ark. Then Noah sent out a raven. It didn’t land because it couldn’t land. Then Noah sent out a dove. It returned. Then he waited 7 more days & sent it out again. It returned with an olive branch. Hallelujah! The family rejoiced.

  1. Hey, Freddie, I'm really enjoying reading all these blog entries about the people in Genesis and their journeys. Some of them had it really hard! I guess it just goes to show, that even when it seems like our life isn't what we would like, maybe God is leading us somewhere and we should make the best of it. As long as we keep our eyes on the end goal, and trust God all the way, we will end up where we want to be.
